Dirt King long travel kits extend suspension geometry well past factory limits, built for high-speed desert running and rough terrain at speed. Long travel suspension increases wheel travel well beyond a mid-travel kit by changing control arm length and geometry rather than simply relocating a mounting point; longer arms move the wheel through a wider arc, which is what lets the suspension soak up bigger hits at higher speed. Long travel means significantly more wheel travel than a mid-travel setup, generally at the cost of a wider overall stance and the need for matched, longer-stroke shocks.
