Upper Control Arms

AccuTune's tubular upper control arms correct the alignment geometry factory arms can't handle once you lift an IFS platform, supporting larger tires and longer-travel coilovers without the CV axle wear and camber issues that come from running factory arms lifted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Upper Control Arms FAQs

Find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions here, or visit our full FAQ section for additional information and support.
At what lift height do I need upper control arms?

Aftermarket UCAs become necessary once you lift an IFS vehicle more than 2 inches or run extended-travel coilovers, since factory arms limit travel and throw off alignment geometry at that height.

What do upper control arms actually fix on a lifted vehicle?

They restore proper alignment angles (camber and caster) at ride height, extend available wheel travel, and reduce the CV axle wear and binding that come from running factory-length arms lifted.

Do I need an alignment after installing upper control arms?

Yes — any control arm change alters alignment angles, so a professional alignment is recommended after installation and again once your final ride height settles.

Are upper control arms included in AccuTune's Stage Kits?

Yes — UCAs are added starting at Stage 2 of AccuTune's Stage Kit system, built specifically for geometry correction once you're lifting beyond 2".
