2.0 Smooth Body Shocks

2.0" smooth body shocks are a straightforward upgrade over a stock shock for lighter or more road oriented vehicles, improving ride quality and control without changing the vehicle's factory spring setup. For a solid front axle or rear leaf-spring application that doesn't need position-sensitive, multi-stage damping, a standard smooth body shock is usually the more common and more straightforward upgrade over a bypass.

2.0 Smoothbody Shocks FAQs

Find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions here, or visit our full FAQ section for additional information and support.
What vehicles use a Fox 2.0 smoothbody shock instead of a coilover?

Vehicles where the spring and shock mount separately rather than as a combined coilover unit — this includes solid front axle Jeep Wranglers, classic trucks, and any build where the spring is carried by the axle or frame.

What mounting options are available for the Fox 2.0 smoothbody?

Both eyelet and bushing mount configurations are available, matched to your vehicle's factory or aftermarket mounting hardware.

Is the Fox 2.0 smoothbody custom-tuned for my vehicle?

AccuTune re-valves and custom-tunes every unit in-house before shipping, using AccuTune Equations to match spring rate, motion ratio, and damping curve to your specific vehicle, weight, and terrain.

Is a smoothbody shock a real performance upgrade over a factory or budget replacement shock?

Yes — Fox smoothbody shocks bring performance-grade damping to spring/shock-separate configurations, a meaningful step up from factory and budget replacement options.
