Coilover Shocks

Coilover shocks combine the spring and shock into a single adjustable unit, one of the most common suspension upgrades for independent front suspension (IFS) trucks and SUVs while being an step up from separate coil and shock setups on Solid Axle vehicles. AccuTune builds and re-valves coilovers in-house across every body diameter, from lightweight street builds to serious off-road rigs, matched to your vehicle's weight and how you drive it. Coilover searches usually come down to one question: how much adjustment do you actually want? Coilovers allow the fine tuning of ride height, spring rate and more!

Coilover Shocks FAQs

Find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions here, or visit our full FAQ section for additional information and support.
What is a coilover shock?

A coilover combines the spring and shock into a single adjustable assembly, as opposed to a smoothbody shock where the spring mounts separately.

What coilover diameter do I need — 2.0", 2.5", or 3.0"?

2.0" suits lighter, street-focused builds; 2.5" is the most popular size for serious Tacoma, 4Runner, Silverado, Bronco, and Wrangler builds thanks to its remote reservoir oil capacity; 3.0" is race-grade, built for long travel and performance desert builds.

Are AccuTune's coilovers custom-tuned, or sold off the shelf?

Every tuneable unit is re-valved in AccuTune's San Diego shop using AccuTune Equations, matching spring rate, motion ratio, and damping curve to your specific vehicle, weight, and terrain.

Which brand should I choose — Fox, King, or Ride Shocks?

Free phone consultation is included with every order. Our team can walk you through the tradeoffs between brands for your specific vehicle and budget.
