3.0 Bypass Shocks

3.0" bypass shocks add oil capacity and more bypass tubes for heavier vehicles and more demanding terrain, holding up to sustained high-speed off-road use better than a smaller body size. The bypass tubes are what set this design apart from a standard shock: each one controls compression or rebound at a specific point in the stroke, so the damping can run soft early in the travel for a comfortable ride, firm up mid-stroke for high-speed stability, and tighten further through the last inches to prevent bottoming out.

A bypass shock trades some of a coilover or smooth body shcok's simplicity for that tunable, position-sensitive damping, which is why bypass shocks are the standard choice for serious desert and prerunner builds.
