The GX shares core off-road DNA with the Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser Prado, wrapped in a more refined cabin, and every setup here is tuned around that shared platform rather than a generic SUV average. Every tuneable shock is physically re-valved in our San Diego shop using AccuTune Equations, our proprietary process for calculating the correct spring rate, motion ratio, and damping curve for your specific GX, lift height, accessories, and terrain. The GX470 shares front suspension geometry with the same-era 4Runner, the GX460 moved to an updated IFS setup built around coil rear suspension, and the current GX550 sits on different platform architecture than either earlier generation, with components that are not interchangeable across the three.
