Suspension Engineering Experience

The AccuTune Off-Road Jeep JK Coilover Kit was developed using our 15 years of suspension engineering and shock tuning experience to deliver the ultimate performance. The basic fundamentals of suspension setup are Center of Gravity Height, Suspension Geometry, and Shock Setup. Each of these three items multiply by each other, when they're all perfect the performance is unbelievable, but having a problem with any one of them can ruin the whole experience. Our kit was designed to hit all three: 4" lift height keeps the CG low and improves suspension geometry by reducing angles, and our shock setup is excellent with 5" of up travel and optimized mounting angles in the rear. The result is a kit that delivers more comfort, more control (no bucking or bouncing), and greater off-road performance than others.

Low Lift Height

This kit will support lift heights from 2.5" to 6" while retaining 5" of up travel. With some trimming our JK clears huge 40" BFG KR3 Tires while running a 2.75" lift in the rear and 5" of up travel. By keeping the height low we are able to improve the stability and to improve the JK suspension geometry by reducing link angles.

5 inches Up

By giving the JK 5" of up travel there is enough room for the coilovers to work and to provide a comfortable ride while gently absorbing bumps. Through our years of testing and tuning we've found that less up travel is ok for crawling, but significant comfort and control are given up on normal trail riding. Bouncing off the bump stops can cause harshness, loss of momentum, or in extreme situations a loss of control. In order to deliver the off-road performance worthy of the AccuTune name we designed the kit to have 5" of up travel.

Weld On Strength & Easy Install

Coilovers add a lot more force to shock brackets because they now have to support the spring forces and damping forces. The brackets in our JK Coilover Kit are made from 3/16" laser cut and cnc bent steel so they can handle whatever you throw at them. In addition to being extremely strong these brackets are designed for a precise fitment making the install extremely simple.

Optimized Shock Setup

It is important to mount shocks with a consistent motion ratio through out travel. Shocks mounted on extreme angles cause damping forces and spring rates to decrease near bottoming. We've worked extremely hard to design complex sheet metal brackets to keep the shocks as vertical as possible. The rear brackets are so high the upper shock bolt barely slides in, they're so wide they nearly hit the frame on articulation, and they're so far forward they nearly hit aftermarket track bar mounts. This is as good as JK Coilover mounts can get without cutting the tub or sacrificing other critical factors such as ride height and up travel.
