While many companies are still selling semi-tuned valving (eg: every Jeep CJ, YJ, TJ, JK, JKU receives the same valving), we are selling truly custom valving that looks at your vehicle and your modifications and your expected use and delivers the performance you want. We take your information and enter it into our engineering equations which look at how your vehicle will behave in a variety of different situations. From there we are able to design a shock curve which delivers the expected ride quality and performance. While we can customize as much as you want, our two most popular styles of valving are Trail Valving and Go-Fast Valving. Trail Valving is great for exploring, rock crawling and trail riding, it delivers a smooth off-road ride, excellent stability in the rocks, and will still let you drive fast on fire roads and washes. Our Go-Fast valving is for pre-running, large whoops, and winning races. In the past (and still to this day with most shock manufactures and tuners) shocks were tuned using a single flutter disk. This old style of valving doesn’t give you full control of the shock curve and lacks the ability for fine tuning, resulting in sacrifices to ride quality and performance. Our new AccuTune Double Flutter Stack Valving is necessary to harness the full potential of the AccuTune Valving Equations and gives us much more control over the shock curve, allowing us to deliver substantially improved ride quality, performance and control. Compression Adjusters offer you the ability to adjust the shock for your preferences, different terrain, and changing amounts of weight. But simply adding an adjuster to an existing shock tune may not give you the performance you need. Compression adjusters only increase damping force (never decrease force from main valving), have a limited adjustment range, and also change how the shock functions. At AccuTune Off-Road we know how the adjusters affect your shocks performance and have compression adjuster settings built into our equations. AccuTune valving will put you in the usable range of adjustment for your changing needs.
Internal Bypass shocks are complicated and more difficult to tune than an external bypass shocks. For these reasons we recommend pairing them with an external low speed compression adjuster and AccuTune valving. This combination allows you to have an internal tune which puts the external adjuster in the useable range, giving you external control of the performance. We can valve your shocks correctly, and to help you make the external adjustments necessary to deliver the performance you want.
External Bypass shocks are often paired with a coilover and each one serves a special purpose in order to deliver the best comfort and control. With AccuTune equations we can build the perfect damping curve and distribute the valving between the coilover and bypass so you get the most out of both. The result is a matched set of shocks that deliver the performance, comfort and speed you are looking for.
Our Founder has been engineering and tuning shocks since 2001, and has been dyno testing and field testing AccuTune Equations since 2014.
